Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions. Cancellations must be sent to us in writing, by email or WhatsApp, from the contact details used to make the booking. The date we receive that intimation is the date of cancellation.

1. Venue and event bookings

   Refund of the advance paid, calculated from the date of cancellation to the event date:

   The security deposit, where it has been paid and no dues are outstanding, is refunded in full irrespective of the slab.

2. Room bookings

3. Date changes

   One change of date may be requested at least [[30]] days before the booked date and is subject to availability and to any difference in the applicable rate. A date change is not a cancellation, but the original booking date continues to govern the refund slab if the rescheduled booking is later cancelled.

4. Force majeure

   If the booking cannot proceed because of an event beyond either party's reasonable control - flood, fire, epidemic, government restriction, civil unrest, war or similar - the amount paid is [[refunded in full / held as a credit valid for 12 months, at the guest's option]]. Taxes already remitted to the government are refunded only to the extent recoverable.

5. Cancellation by Alora

   If we cancel a confirmed booking for any reason other than a breach of these terms by the guest, all amounts paid are refunded in full.

6. How refunds are processed

   Refunds are made to the original payment instrument or bank account of the person who made the booking, within [[10]] working days of the cancellation being confirmed. Bank charges, payment gateway fees and non-refundable taxes are deducted where applicable.
